עידו ברונו – ביוגרפיה קצרה

פרופסור עידו ברונו הוא מעצב, אוצר ומרצה במחלקה לעיצוב תעשייתי באקדמיה לאמנות ועיצוב בצלאל, ירושלים.
עבודתו נעה בין עשייה עיצובית, אקדמיה, אוצרות וחשיבה מערכתית בתחומי עיצוב ותרבות. הוא שימש כחבר בוועדות של משרד החינוך ומשרד התרבות של ישראל, וכשופט בתחרויות ובפרסים רבים בתחומי העיצוב והאמנות. עבודותיו בעיצוב ואוצרות הוצגו במוסדות מובילים ברחבי העולם, בין השאר במוזיאון ה-MoMA בניו יורק, MUDAC בלוזאן, מוזיאון העיר סנדאי ביפן ומוזיאון העיצוב בלונדון. ברונו זכה במספר פרסים על מצוינות בעיצוב מוצר, מחקר בעיצוב בר־קיימא ופרס העיצוב מטעם משרד התרבות על כלל יצירתו. בין השנים 2017–2021 כיהן כמנכ"ל מוזיאון ישראל, ומאז נושא בתואר מנכ"ל אמריטוס של המוזיאון.
בימים אלה הוא מוביל את צוות התכנון של פרוייקט ההתחדשות של פארק אדם וטבע ברמת הנדיב — ומשמש כמנהל אמנותי ומעצב של תצוגת הקבע החדשה במוזיאון איינשטיין, הנמצא כעת בבנייה בקמפוס גבעת רם של האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים.

Professor Ido Bruno is a designer, curator, and professor at the Department of Industrial Design, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem.
Bruno’s career bridges design practice, academia, curating and strategic thinking for design and culture. He has served on advisory committees for Israel’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture and as a juror for numerous design and art awards. His curatorial and design work has been featured in leading institutions worldwide, including MoMA New York, MUDAC Lausanne, Sendai City Museum Japan, the Design Museum London. Bruno has been honored with several awards for Design Excellence, Sustainable design research and the Ministry of Culture Design Award of excellence for his overall work. Bruno served as Director of the Israel Museum Jerusalem (2017–2021) and now holds the title of Director Emeritus. He currently leads the design and architecture team developing the renewal of Ramat Hanadiv human-nature park in northern Israel—and serves as the designer and creative director of the new permanent exhibition at the Einstein Museum, now under construction on the Hebrew University’s Givat Ram campus in Jerusalem.
